Programs

    WMC programs are designed to educate, inspire, and activate youth from diverse underprivileged communities. WMC is committed to elevating youth in foster care and youth from historically underserved Black and Latinx communities and other groups, giving them the tools they need to reach their life goals through education, equity, independence, and a commitment to serve their communities. WMC programs adhere to 7 core values: hard work, dedication, loyalty, perseverance, integrity, honesty, and respect. 

WMC

    Throughout the year-round programs, participants develop a vision for their lives, incorporating lessons on Relationships, Resiliency, and Respect. collaborating with their peers, community leaders, mentors, and family members through the process. Workshops empower youth participants to focus on educational advancement, academic success, leadership, character development, financial literacy, service to the community, and inspiring change. 


Each one-hour session is developmentally appropriate, highly interactive, and tailored for future leaders and youth athletes. WMC programs are evidence-based, and include results driven, educational best practices. Youth participants who have completed the year-long program are invited to attend a group trip, free of charge/all expenses covered, to implement the leadership and respect lessons learned. WMC participants participate in a group community service program. 

    Exceptional! with leaders in training (LIT)

    The Exceptional! program is a free, youth resiliency program designed to develop youth leaders ages 10- 17. In collaboration with local Las Vegas-based nonprofit community partners, including Leaders In Training, and Foster Kinship, the Exceptional! pilot program is designed for at-risk children currently identified and referred by program caseworkers, including children in foster care, youth dealing with behavioral/mental health issues, and other related issues. The 6-week workshop (after-school or weekends) and year-round program inspires youth to develop personal confidence, engage in team projects and motivate participants to make a difference in their community. Through team-building exercises, youth are inspired to develop self-advocacy skills and agency to envision leading empowered lives, incorporating core lessons in 

    Relationships, Resiliency, and Respect.

        Respect camp

            Respect Camp is the flagship program of WMC. Respect Camp is a free youth program that empowers youth ages 10-17 to find their purpose and passion. Respect Camp culminates with an annual one-week field trip held in different cities throughout the country. Youth participants who have completed the year-long program are invited to attend the group trip, free of charge/all expenses covered, to implement the leadership and respect lessons learned. Participants meet with other regional Respect Camp Chapters to collaborate on team projects and activities, highlighting and incorporating Respect Camp's 7 core values. 

          Community Outreach

              Williams- Marshall Cares’ ongoing Community Outreach program is an integral part of WMC’s engagement efforts. By participating with nonprofit organizations, schools, and other community agencies, WMC educates, inspires and activates students and their families giving them the tools they need to reach their life goals.
